It’s a chilly airmass but certainly not arctic. The bar is set pretty low right now.

It shows a low of -21 in hope gfs
And -15 in hope euro

Imo that’s legit. Don’t know if it will happen but that’s pretty cold tell me the last time we saw -21 in hope?

NAVGEM looks like it’s building an Alaskan ridge next weeks. Splits the Alaskan vortex. What is that model anyway. The Canadian navy model? :thumbup:

Those are temps at 5000ft or so. 850mb temps

I was just about to say. I don't think he read the legend.

850mb temps of -15c at YVR would be a legit arctic outbreak, but the criteria should be lower in Hope, given average winter temps are about 2-3c lower than Vancouver.
