This run is showing temps close to -40C in Prince George and -30C in Kamloops. Haven't seen those kind of temps since the 90s.
I’ve seen this coming it’s just 2 weeks late

That doesn't mean it won't verify. History can repeat itself. 8-)

I can remember walking to snow in 2 to 3 feet of snow in Jan. 69 we were living in Coquitlam by Burquitlam plaza. that looks like double we had the record cold here though. I'm glad we didn't have internet or I would have been jealous knowing that.

That blizzard down south was on January 25-26, 1969. Was cloudy with some flurries on both days up here in the lower mainland...we already had lots of snow on the ground from snowfalls earlier in the month and in late Dec '68. YVR was in the middle of a two week stretch where the temperature did not climb above 0C. Also during that stretch...YVR saw ten consecutive lows below -10C and Pitt Meadows dropped to an astonishing -23.3C.

A writeup on that winter from a local perspective for those interested: https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10. ... 69.9676569

60cm in the valley! almost 40cm in Vancouver o.k. time to come back down to earth, I'd be stoked at half that amount. 98cm in Port Angeles.
