Today has been a major turn in the right direction. They moved her out of ICU. Its looking like pelvic surgery Monday and no other major operations. Her care has been truly tremendous. I'll keep myself cautious until after Monday but we're feeling heartened. Thank you for your concern :hugz:

Will do creeker. I'm optimistic about it but still guarded after the roller coaster we've just ridden.
You might also be interested to know we just had 4 new lambs on the farm here! Living right outside my window. The two moms had to be separated because they were literally headbutting each others babies lmao.

This is La Nina though. Cool, wet and active. Ridges are short lived. The samilkameeen gets crushed. As far as arctic air and epic winters the odds seem still fairly low.

I think there probably is going to be an arctic blast this winter. An epic blast? No. More of a garden-variety one. Not super-cold, not super-long-lasting.

But yes, generally cool, wet, and active. As I have been expecting since last fall. In other words, typical for La Niña. The biggest blasts tend to happen in neutral years.
It's called clown range for a reason.

2017/2018. Huge expectations, mediocre results. Only 3 winters ago. Those are my current expectations but well see.

Nice try , looks like another fine mess you got yourself into. Your only way out is if you get a pardon from President Gump , and that seems quite likely.

Probably won’t be as wet as last January. Looks like we will be kicking that arctic cold can down the road for at least another couple weeks

It will arrive by late March. We will be tracking nocturnal slush and very wet daytime snow that accumulates in shaded areas. The Arctic high will deliver very strong outflow that brings a cold +6C high.
