I meant both. I don't know either.

Yup. Especially east of the Cascades and Coastal range. I talked about it a few pages back. Could be worst case scenario. Let's hope for a rug pull or the more realistic moderation.

That sounds like a perfect case of unsafe work. She has the right to refuse that. I definitely share your concern.

That is not a safe work environment. I hope they allow her some relief given the circumstances.

Any model that calls for 39 and 40 in Puntzi Mountain and Williams Lake is complete crap. Same goes for 44 in Vernon. I simply don't believe anything will be that extreme.

Also 40C in the Fraser Valley has never happened except at Stave Falls (a station so long ago that it probably wasn't accurate), so highly unlikely to see it at YXX.

BTW, hottest places in Canada yesterday...

I agree with you in some respect, but I don't necessarily buy into the notion of if it hasn't happened in the past, it won't happen now. We're in a different ball game these days. Climate wise.

She's been labeled a complainer for bringing it up. Teaching can be quite a toxic environment to bring up legitimate safety concerns and things like that. The school board she works in did some downright vindictive stuff during the height of covid. Its not going to change until a child is harmed, in which case I predict they will attempt to blame the teacher.

Prepare to have to debate this well established scientific fact.

Stole these off the American forum.

Sunday and Monday highs on the 12z Euro:

FWIW, this is completely unrealistic and will not verify. I'd subtract at least 5-10f from these temps shown.

Absolutely disgraceful how the government treats teachers.

Well that's absolutely bollocks. Anything above 37/98 (body temperature) I think is where it starts getting extremely uncomfortable, and those numbers are definitely bigger than 37/98.
