I thought so- it looked in transition about 6 weeks back.

Are you sure they're heading South? Good riddance if they are. In recent years they have decided on permanent residency , and making a fecal mess of things around the local ponds and lakes.

Oh well probably a good test for the busted snowfall warnings l'm sure this winter to come.
Not that impressed with this AR event , more like Atmospheric Brook , sounds like you had more of an Atmospheric Drip.

It did bring some nice warm temps though , currently 16.2°

The valley did very good with that mid-late Nov '96 event. Big snowstorm followed by a week of arctic air.

Was fairly run of the mill for Metro Vancouver though, as we didn't have nearly as much snow going into the cold snap and most of the arctic air struggled to push west of Langley/Maple Ridge. I'd say it was an early season equivalent of the January 2012 event.

Northeast Coquitlam has received 85mm of rain since 12am yesterday.

Seems like the models were always hinting at a tight gradient with the rain totals for this event. Definitely not a bust for northern sections of metro Vancouver.

Was definitely one of most significant 24-36hr snowfalls in recorded history across much of the central and eastern valley.

The old Sardis station recorded 97cm on Nov 16th/17th, 1996.

Terrible refereeing in the Knuckles game absolutely awful.
It's a mild evening in the central valley.
