Ok maybe but when it continuously spits out the same solutions that match what other models are saying then I have to give it some credibility.

Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
The Feb 1990 storm sure was a big one. Totals ranged from 30cm to 50cm across Metro Vancouver on the 14/15th. Had a nice few days of clear weather right after too. Even though upper level temps weren't significantly cold, surface temps really plunged at night due to the deep snowcover.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 9:44 pmnice, l'm hoping it doesn't keep delaying by mid February is pushing the envelope for something outstanding not saying it can't happen Valentines back in 1990 l believe was spectacular, l was living in Coquitlam Austin heights he got about 25cm to 30cm.

Remember the cold snap just before that dump Tridge? I recall it was impressive, didn't we go into an inversion pattern after the dump on Valentines.Typeing3 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 9:53 pm The Feb 1990 storm sure was a big one. Re: January 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Wasn't too cold before the snowstorm. There was a prolonged period of cold NW flow and quite a few sloppy snowfalls in the weeks prior (higher elevations like Mundy Park picked up decent accumulations) and temps hovered around freezing for a couple days right before the storm as modified arctic air trickled out to the coast.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 10:37 pm Remember the cold snap just before that dump Tridge? Also wasn't a full fledged inversion after the storm. Upper level temps were still cool but temps at the surface were about equal to temps on the north shore mountains for a couple days.

O.k. yes l remember the slushfests we had prior to, but l thought afew day's before the event we were around -5c or so at night and daytime just below freezing. I do remember the heavy snowfall warning just before Valentines calling for up to 30cm, l was so excited l recall.Typeing3 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 10:51 pm Wasn't too cold before the snowstorm.
