Happy Summer Solstice!!!
It's all downhill from here.
Another cold, drizzly 'summer' day. They're lifting the campfire ban which is surprising because we haven't had significant rain here, just cool and damp mostly.

Re: June 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
Models have all tended hotter and drier. Even CPC has finally gone back to hot and dry probability. Expect it just to trend hotter and drier. No surprise there. Only a matter of time before that ban is back in place and fire danger is back up to high/extreme.Roberts Creeker wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 9:51 am Happy Summer Solstice!!!![]()

Re: June 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
EC says H~26c for Abby (~22c near water) next 7 days with many days a mix of sun/cloud. Very acceptable outlook
Enjoy!

Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

Those ensembles are bone dry. Say goodbye to breathing anything but ash. You know they’ll keep the back country open and campfires until it’s way too late, that’s Bcs MO.Coquitlam79 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 9:52 pm Models have all tended hotter and drier. Re: June 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
It will be beautiful here. Problem is that translates to low 30s in the interior which will further dry out an already very dry ecosystem. We shouldn’t expect much rain until the fall.

Are you sure? Because according to some the fire danger is done for the year with last weekends rain!!!Coquitlam79 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 9:52 pm Models have all tended hotter and drier. I will actually be there for Canada Day long weekend.
