It’s encouraging. Now let’s see the models stick with that pattern and it get within five days. Then I will start getting excited.
It's called clown range for a reason.

I was at 8 something this morning. I'm currently 9 something.
The 00Z EPS has thickness below 540 on one of the models and some model members hint at rain close to 30-50 mm

AbbyJr wrote: Thu Sep 14, 2023 10:46 pm In my opinion, it's too soon to say this winter won't be like last winter. While it's less likely, there have been some very cold and snowy El Niño's in the past and most of them were during a -PDO cycle. Fact is that it's impossible to predict this far out whether or not we will see any significant cold and snow events come the winter months.
I definitely get what you're saying for sure, I just know it won't be like last winter. It will definitely be warmer, I think that's a given. How much warmer ? That's up in the air. Do I think we will see a snowy period? We definitely will see some snow. It won't be like 2015/2016. I just believe this winter won't be the best. Hopefully, I am wrong because I'd love to see a very snowy winter

Hurricane Lee is set to slam into Nova Scotia and the Maritimes on Saturday. While the centre of the storm is tracking well to the west of Halifax, the region will likely still see major impacts due to the sheer size of the storm. I'm expecting widespread wind damage and power outages throughout much of the Maritimes as this storm slams into the region.
