Really threading the needle out here in South Delta for tomorrow. The 18z runs are encouraging but I think it’ll be a close call :dunno:

I'm freezing already... cool. 8-)

This is going to set us up perfectly for accumulating snow. The snow doesn't look to be super heavy, so having a frozen ground will help immensely.

I'm down to 1C but it could be a bit lower, as my station does not show the temperature to the decimal point. My dew point is -3C. 8-)

Currently 2.1° ,the high was 6.2° . DP -2°

Looking forward to seeing a daytime snowfall which in my opinion is much more enjoyable when you could see the flakes falling, most snowfalls thus far for me have occurred in late evening or in the dead of night.

The one on the afternoon of the 15th was awesome. The heaviest snowfall I've ever seen in North Vancouver.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

Does it kind of feel like this one came out of nowhere? It's an odd set up for an event. Haven't seen it since I started following weather closer in 2016. Hope it performs well. Good luck to all a yas!

Not that uncommon... though these types of events have been lacking in recent years. A recent example of something similar would be the December 19/20th, 2013 snowfall.
