It seems to do well with pattern changes. I still think the Euro leading up to an event is the gold standard.

Now all the models have this feuture, not to mentioned the GFS has been on this for week.

Now all the models have this feuture, not to mentioned the GFS has been on this for week.

The GFS has to get some credit for that. It led the way with heat wave event too. This is purely anecdotal, but it appears to sniff out pattern changes pretty well. It still struggles with details, but that's what the Euro is for.
