That is not historic at all. Its a normal arctic blast for that part of the country. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Looks like the coldest temps are centered on NW Ontario. I looked up Thunder Bays record for around that time. 11th-13th. 2 of the 3 days have record lows below -37C
