Temps near -30C in the Great Lakes is not historic?

Looks like the coldest temps are centered on NW Ontario. I looked up Thunder Bays record for around that time. 11th-13th. 2 of the 3 days have record lows below -37C
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft
