Looks like TWN is expecting a ridgy November/December with a colder Jan/Feb.

November and December ridging
Been fairly zonal so far in October, imo. Seems like it'll continue thru late month.

I think the jet will remain relatively zonal thru early/mid Dec with lots of precip for the west coast, and then the pattern will transition to something like they show for Jan/Feb.

I'd be surprised if there's any prolonged period of ridging coming anytime in the next few months.

Highly unlikely in our current climate.

Check out Jan 1972/1980/1982/1996/2004 on the historical records. If we don't see anything major in December, I think an event or two similar to what we saw those years is realistic this January

Out of all those years, 1982 and 1996 were the best for snow in Abbotsford. In 1982, 69 cm fell at YXX and in 1996, 67.3 cm was recorded.

Yes, needless to say its the same in the Similkameens this year. Amazing colours. It appears that the S. Interior regions are gaining some traction lately 8-) 8-)
Yes PornoMan, i have already enjoyed the many amazing seasons with colours, cold and snow. I highly recommend the city folk to vacation locally this fall/winter. In the Similkameens?
