Coquihalla is open to the public again btw. Also heavy snowfall expected...up to a foot tonight for anyone heading to the Similkameens, caribou, kootenay.. . etc

Maybe Nito wasn't too crazy pointing out how this could be like January/February 2014 and 2015 with the persistence of this pattern, and the consistent extreme cold/snow in the east.

Saw this on Vancouver Island weather page, snow in Gold River. Why not us? :cry:

Had some pretty thick rain here earlier but I was content to watch it from inside so I'm not sure if it was chunky or just big drops.

Gold River is one of the best lowland locations for snow across the entire south coast. They always seem to score.

quick peek at 06Z GooFS not exciting what so ever.

Too close to the quake fault zone for me Ms. Springcomingcreeks. :mrgreen: can probably make ice cream with a snow covered shaking ground.

I think arctic air comes back to the west coast in Mid February. Pattern in early February looks much more conducive to a cleaner retrogression than what the models were hinting at a week or two ago
