Noticed some high based TCU towards Golden Ears earlier. Really looked like a summertime t-storm.

Wow. Very impressive shelf cloud with this cell. But no lightning strikes yet, nor any hail coming from it.
Looks really disorganized on radar but the visual with this is really impressive.
Edit: Found on Twitter...really surprised this is leading to nothing at all. Guess it's a touch too dry at the lower levels and we are losing prime solar heating.

Beautiful dark bluish-gray clouds but no precip from them yet.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Yup. High based cell that partially dissipated and only generated wind. Felt like a summer evening.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 6:18 pm Beautiful dark bluish-gray clouds but no precip from them yet.

I am not a satisfied customer. I was expecting a downpour. I want my money back.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 6:24 pm Yup. High based cell that partially dissipated and only generated wind. Felt like a summer evening.

Re: March 2023 Forecasts And Discussions
I drove right into it..so i thought. 5:30pm Willoughby. Then it went to the NW mostly. Still..looked like a downpour and T-storms for sure. Just a few sprinkles at most.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 5:36 pm Wow. Very impressive shelf cloud with this cell. But no lightning strikes yet, nor any hail coming from it.

The outflow winds killed it i guess. Shredded the moisture
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

Re: March 2023 Forecasts And Discussions
Can't really trust those numbers. I know 67 cm is wrong for YXX because there have been some missed or inaccurate measurements that I've noted on more than one occasion. I'm at 87 cm...Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 11:02 pm Poor Abby and Kamloops.
