18Z Euro seems to be calling for a "heavy precip drags the snow level down" scenario Monday night into Tuesday morning.

I think some people might just be joking around for fun.PortKells wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 2:31 pm I just don't understand why this would need to be said 400 times a winter (recently with excessive laughing emojis attached, not by you but another poster) when not one single person here has indicated they don't understand how snow maps work. They're still useful in telling us that there is *potential* for a snowfall.
Every single poster here understands that the snow total maps need to be high in order to get something like 10 cms out of an event, especially this far out. Do we need to ban snow maps in case some lurker takes them verbatim and goes and invests their life savings on snow gear? Or I guess just explain these facts every. single. time. we feel like posting a snow map? I guess I'll do that.

The following image shall be taken with multiple spoonfuls of salt! It may contain phantom snow, terrain bleed, or be a complete fragment of your imagination. Please accept it as a form of entertainment. Thank you for your attention to this matter

First time NAM has showed lowland snow all season.

Global models take that trough too far offshore and keep us mostly dry next week.

But better than anything else we've had this "winter", plus things could turn in our favour too
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

Goofus shows a North of the Fraser Special, but temps are warmer, so iffy.
