And here’s our friend Mr. Sun to make everything nice and toasty warm. Sorry about bringing the weather of the SW USA with me, everybody.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Humidity levels down there are prolly much lower than here. A 37c in the desert feels ok...kinda like oven heat, where 34 and humid feels like sweaty Betty sauna heat, and much worser..u guys picking up what im throwing down?Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Mon Jul 25, 2022 7:14 am And here’s our friend Mr. Sun to make everything nice and toasty warm. Re: July 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
That is actually typical with wildfires. When they talk about the number of hectares “burned,†that is the total area inside the fire’s perimeter. Not all of that area will be totally scorched to stereotypical a blackened crisp; some of it will be low-intensity (many trees survive), and there will be untouched islands that remained unburnt.

Yes it was. The firestorm the night it crossed Loon Lake was like an apocalypse. The valley that loon lake sits in would have been a scary place to be that night. It’s a beautiful spot though, used to take the RV up there many years ago.

It continued burning long after Loon lake. It Reached the shores of Sheridan Lake nearly a month later. It passed by just to the east of our Cabin at Watch Lake.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Mon Jul 25, 2022 3:06 am If memory serves me Tshirt, it pretty much ended right there at Loon lake. I recall my sister in Deka lake east of 100 Mile could see the smoke and they were concerned it was headed there way. Just incredible how far it traveled of course we had a smoke fest down here that summer as well.

You should have left it at the border when you unpacked your bags to get through customs.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Mon Jul 25, 2022 7:14 am And here’s our friend Mr. Sun to make everything nice and toasty warm. Sorry about bringing the weather of the SW USA with me, everybody.
A much warmer start to the day, already 23c and it's only 10 am. That's higher than the high most days the past week.

Off topic, that was an absolutely scary alert this morning at 6:20a.m. at first when my half asleep eyes saw it l thought it was our very first heat alert. Or amber alert then when l read it l thought are we in the U.S. Chilliwack, Whistler, Langley what a crazy world.
The roasting has begun stay hydrated everyone.

Me too. The heat is one thing. The humidity and crap air quality is another. Lots of smoke and smog will worsen conditions at the surface Wednesday.

Where is the smoke coming from? We drove through the canyon yesterday and apart from a bit of haze, the skies were clear.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 25, 2022 12:14 pm Me too. The heat is one thing.
