Fortunately we've seen the end of slush but there is no warmth in sight.

I'm honestly fine with no warmth right now.. I want a slow gradual warming trend but we all know how this works.. Cool/cold spring to start we all complain then boom heat dome after heat dome. I honestly can't handle another summer like the past couple it really took a toll on my body and I'm young. It was the fact that even when the week straight of 35 to 38c temperatures ended it was still 27 to 30c for another week.. No real cool down or marine push.

10 hours ago the Climate Prediction Center posted that we are no longer in a La Nina and we're now in ENSO neutral conditions.

This is true. However I've noticed that average-ish summers like 2019 are often followed by warm and dry springs. I don't know if there's a correlation but you are definitely right, these non stop heat waves are generally bad for health.

Last year when we had such a cool spring I learned that bees really don't fly in temperatures under 10C

It didn't seem like my fruit trees had been pollinated (lots of blossoms, little fruit), so I looked it up

Happy to hear the bees are venturing out!
