Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Two areas of Low pressure. The one due west of Tofino completely fizzled out. Looks like the "main low" is just off the coast of Ocean Shores....

I take it nothing at your locale yet? I wouldn’t worry too much  radar shows a precipitation shield moving in.
It's called clown range for a reason.

More snow than rain now at my house now in Nanaimo. There were a few gusts of wind and that was that for the rain for now.

Snow picking up in intensity now. I really hope this makes it's way down to sea level for a region wide snowfall.

Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Definitely a snizzle here: teeny tiny little slushy flakes. Heavier precip rates would really help, but that may be asking for a lot with this system. Just not many strong echoes on the radar.

Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Considering my (lack of) elevation, and how marginal this set-up is, I think I’m doing pretty good to have gotten anything at all. I think the radiational cooling I got before the overcast moved in really worked to my advantage.
I can always drive to the hills this afternoon. Should stay all snow up there. Pomoman will probably be happy today.

Isnt it sad that we wait ALL WINTER for snow..then finally an opportunity...on Jan 24th, and barely a cm in any area
