Dramatic day. First a rug pull, then a rug push.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Hard not to ignore the Euro's consistency, especially now that the HRDPS has caved to its snowier solutions. It's going to snow tomorrow.

Wait till morning M1 things will look better if not I won't eat yellow snow.Michael1 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 9:22 pm Either way, he was wrong last night about bursts of snow along the maritime arctic front boundary; he was wrong about the sudden drop in temperature on the island, behind the front and now the arctic air arrives Monday instead of tomorrow afternoon. Yeah, I don't like our chances on the east island. This has been a cock up!

If there was any confidence- WPRO would have surfaced by now. He made some bold statements yesterday.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 9:35 pm Wait till morning M1 things will look better if not I won't eat yellow snow.![]()
"Eastern Vancouver Island could see snow star on Saturday and see 10 cm and as the outflow picks up, further amounts of 10 cm could be produced for around 20 cm in total over the weekend. Naniamo should get a decent amount of snow.
There are some signals that coastal sliders may develop or a stationary low, if that occurs, you can add more to your snow totals! As those are a bit unpredictable as we have seen in the past. One of those things could get parked and spew out 20cm of snow on it's own!! Keep an eye on them!"

Re: February 2025 Forecasts And Discussions
Close enough that there's wiggle room given the convective nature of the precipitation. Regardless, it looks like 20cm for me. Scores!

Latest My Radar update Arctic fart has moved through Kamloops and then westward to northern tip of Vancouver Is. You can tell the orientation of the front has pivoted now that the inland low is not holding it up.

The 00Z Euro continues to show reloads of arctic air in the extended. Really wish this was January. Would break the curse if it verified.

I have about 10cm in my front yard. Had to go visit someone in hospital and came home to 3cm of fresh powder. It’s -3C and the roads were a skating rink.
