Yeah... I reached 9.6C after a low of +0.3C

Yesterday was 8.0C/+0.2C

I'm learning that living on a hillside isn't great for getting cold nights (I kind of knew that before, but it's not the same as experiencing it). Most of our cold weather is inversionary, so the lower the better (or move up to 3000 feet).

Yup.

Typer is often colder than me at night and he's just down the hill.

Max of 9.2˚C here.
It's called clown range for a reason.

I’m in a little valley near the top of a ridge and so I manage, despite the urban heat island, to benefit some from both elevation above sea level and cool air pooling.

The 12Z Euro drops all 5 teleconnections negative in the clown range. Most notably, the PNA and WPO are strongly negative.

Yeah, this area is a great spot to maximize cold potential on calm, clear nights. During those setups, it's often amongst the coldest in the region.

On the flip side, it's amongst the worst during marginal snowfall setups, though does well when we see those classic Boundary Bay to Tri-Cities streamers on the radar (which we haven't seen much of in recent times unfortunately!).

T3..those streamers coming off the Bay are some of the most epic snow events imo. Always troffy and unexpected heavy snow at times
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)
