Re: January 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
Quiet a messy drive leaving YXX for Sardis. Snow, then ice pellets and snow, then down hwy 1 past Sumas way snow with ZR which built up on windshield. Past Cole rd it became mostly just snow and a bit windy from the east. In Sardis its -3.7 and 5cm on the ground. Truck showed -3 most of the drive.

Wild. Up to 9 cm as of 4 AM.
7.5 cm since 1 AM, or about 2.5 cm/hr. I'm very pleasantly surprised.

According the the hrrr, he might be right and you might be right. Looks like western sections stay all snow and eastern sections might experience a few hours of zr before turning back to snow.VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2024 5:05 am Don't know what you're talking about.

But it could be a lot worse...the ice storm down south is sounding absolutely terrible and could become a big story.

Re: January 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
I accidentally fell asleep waiting for the snow to start! I just woke up kinda panicked and then RAN to my window kinda scared to look outside and see no snow at all...reminiscent of childhood snow disappointments, I guess.
But I'm pleased to report that it's a winter wonderland out there and still falling quite heavily. Whew.

I haven't gone outside to check precip type but we're doing pretty well here. I think you're definitely ahead though, nice work!VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2024 5:21 am Okay fair. Another Western Metro win though? We're on a roll!
