Wow! I only had 11.4 mm in Abbotsford. Microclimate. Coquitlam and the N shore is sure the place to be for high rainfall totals.

I think the NE winds here today worked well to keep me so dry. There was lots of rain on the radar to the south and west of me, but it broke up every time it tried to move into Abbotsford.

You did better than me Jr. 8.5mm in the rain bucket since midnight. :cry: winds were SW all day Jr. so it wasn't the winds that prevented the rain from moving in.

Your 1902mm is off by a couple hundred mm. Eastern Maple Ridge gets more than 2000mm on average.

Here is a graphic showing how Seattle did this past summer in regards to temps above 80f (26c). The results were fairly low when compared to the last 5 years.

Further to my last post, YVR recorded snowfall EVERYDAY from December 17 1964 right through to January 8 1965!!
