Are those people aware that the GEFS is cold for more than half of the continental USA? That kind of ignorance just ticks me off, implying the east is all anybody cares about.

For the record, the GEFS will most certainly be wrong as it is favourable for us. But I don’t care. Arctic ice box or sunshine please.

I was just about to say the same. Whether in Canada or the USA, the west is completely ignored.

Intense pulse of rain that morphed into sleet/hail just blew through the west side. Just rain now, but it’s as close as we’ve gotten to snow so far :D

Hate to burst your bubble, but the East generally is all that many in the East care about.

Yeah, but they specifically said the US in their tweet, not just the east. I think that's what PK was trying to get at.

It is an unsubstantiated rumor that anyone in the USA actually lives west of, approximately, Pittsburgh. Therefore all those colors in western areas are of no relevance to anyone that counts.

It is an East based company with mostly east based clients, so the eastern bias is to be expected. The main takeaway is there is a discrepancy in how the MJO is being handled and that will have to be taken into account when looking at the ensembles.
