Look at all of those goose eggs over the Lower Mainland.
It's called clown range for a reason.

No A380s until next May, so unlikely.

-3 over the city right now.
I really need to get my homemade ACARS weather observation decoder up and running again. Best way to get real-time upper air data.
It's called clown range for a reason.

I have my money on another May snowfall in 2023. It's been over 20 years and we are due.
Edit: T3 will probably go to his record books and tell me we are not due.

I think something like that did happen about a year ago. The night that Vancouver got around 20 cm, there was a band of snow marching down the Strait from NW to SE, plowing ashore over the city. Just doesn’t happen as often as sea effect snow hitting the east coast of the Island, that’s all.
A notable sea-effect snow event in recent times around here was on February 21st, 2018 in the middle of the cold snap. Weak NW slider off the coast with flurries across most of the region during the day that didn't account for much accumulation... trace-2cm.
With temps between -5c and -2c for most of the day and moderate NW winds meant south Richmond, south d
Delta, and White Rock picked up 5-15cm+ with the sea-effect enhancement.

How bout a 747 for a white Christmas…. Any Cargo flights coming up?

This is the kind of snowfall where it could snow for days but we wouldn't accumulate even 1 cm. Quebec's classic.
Got home in east Coquitlam 10 minutes ago and it looks to have barely amounted to anything here unless it melted already... maybe 0.25cm?

We had daily 747s all summer with Lufthansa! Might get a cargo 747 from Korean Air a couple times this winter, but those are unpredictable.
