Lightning past 10 minutes south of Cowichan Bay. First time in a couple of years that there has been a thunderstorm here.

They just updated the forecast for chance of thunderstorms so let's hope that's not the kiss of death.

Where is everyone?! It's quite the show out there. Lightning in all directions, really. I drove out to Pitt Lake to get a better view. Many flashes were lighting up the sky and it was awesome but you couldn't see the forked lighting because of what I think is low stratus obscuring them. But even still, it was awesome to watch the light show. Doesn't look like it's over anytime soon either.

I think the storm was only happening in the Maple Ridge and Abbotsford/Chilliwack area. I don't believe we had a thunderstorm in Langley.

Heard a few rumbles of thunder when I went to bed. Slept with the window open and didn’t get woken up so have to suspect that was it.
Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..

Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.

Hot. One of those years where we go straight from Winter to summer. No spring. Not good for the flood situation at all. :|

Very possible in areas like Lytton. This will be the 2nd huge West Coast ridge in this highly amplified pattern in a span of 3 weeks. The dangerous thing is the amount of snow still in the mountains. If this heat verifies we are going to see epic floods In the interior.
