That can’t be right. We’ve had many March snowfalls.

I have moved around on the West Coast, and have never been in the same place where snow has fallen and stuck (until this afternoon).

Hopefully a measurable amount. Even a cm or two would do the trick. That’s the next jinx to break: measurable snow on or after March 1st.

that's absolutely insane.

Oh, my childhood was fine. Lived first in the Midwest and then the Rockies. The latter in particular had lots of spring snow events.

I moved to the West Coast in the summer of 1989, have lived in a variety of places, and today was literally the first time I saw the ground whitened by snow in March. I have seen flakes in the air that melt the instant they hit the ground perhaps two or three other times. I am not making this up.

Must be very unlucky as we've had March snow here (traces and measurable amounts) on more occasions than I can remember.

Looks like there's a developing trailing line of precip behind the main bulk which is pointing more at western sections. We might luck out, maybe?
