Remember the last one in the models went too far west. I think Climo might have something to say about an east blast.
The positive sign is that models at least have legit arctic air in North America now. Where it goes is the question. Still time for it to trend west again.
I think odds are better for us than typical climo this time around given we are moving into a phase 7 MJO in a -ENSO/+QBO.

Out of curiosity why are some of you saying tonight looks better, other than the EC snowfall warning jinx?

For one I think there will be much better evaporative cooling. The outflow also appears to be enhanced. And the timing where solar won’t be an issue.

Apparently some lower elevations of the northern sacremento valley could see up to a foot of snow....all while we see rain.
Maybe we should all move there?

00z NAM shows periods of light snow beginning at around 11pm for extreme southern sections of the lower mainland...gradually covers the entire region by 2am. Slight pause in precip around 4/5am before another band moves into the region with a mix/rain for sea level and light snow for higher elevations. Most precip moderates and turns to showers by 10am before the band moves out of the region.

S and W sections west of Langley could pick up a couple cm. Looks pretty dry or mostly wet for the valley along with N metro van east of coquitlam.
