Yes, she's got a 45 minute delay because of the 3 hour delay of the same plane yesterday. They had some de-icing issues I think

regarding snow days, at the risk of aging myself, Vancouver had a few in the early 70's.

I can recall 1 or 2 when my kids were in school but iirc, one was announced because they hadn't the week before when we got dumped on, so did it for a skiff of snow the next week, it was a weird reason :wtf:

imho, they did the snow day today anticipating chaos on the commute home.
January 1971. 100cm+ of snow in Vancouver in just over four days.

I must say this snow downtown is also rather Teflon, but probably for the better because otherwise it's just immediate gridlock.

Snow has let up quite a bit right now. Just light snow and -0.6C.
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

It is. Still not a major snowstorm or anything. Hoping to eke out a few cm so I can post a totals update on the AF and inspire some more envy.
