So far the cold is hanging on in the central valley -1c @ the official pond, no precip at all only saw afew flakes earlier this a.m. but when l saw YXX hit plus 6c l almost believed El Neets plus 10, and now YXX is back down to 0c  especially when some members were reporting anywhere from plus 2c to plus 4c last night.

To Nito's delight , Weatherpro's massive crippling snowstorm for the weekend didn't materialize.

To be fair...models WERE showing it. The front just stalled last minute. WP was spot on last weekend and a few days ago.

Was looking forward to some crisp cool weather with a ridge.

Storm wrote: Sun Jan 02, 2022 7:52 am I come to this place to have some serious weather discussion, but all the bs that Nito was pulling last it really makes it difficult to post here. All his knowledge is wasted in the pile.
Storm wrote: Sun Jan 02, 2022 8:06 am there is probably other people who are reading this forum and are shaking their heads and don't know what to think.

He was throwing +12°C temps. last night at some point. I mean C'MOn
Hawk wrote: Sun Jan 02, 2022 8:27 am yes good point...you do have the option of blauking him :shh:

So I got several complaints via PM last night, not only by people confused and not knowing what to think, and some who rely on the actual true forecast that many on here often get right over EC. Also some who suffer from Seasonal Deficit Disorder and they were getting depressed and wanted to LEAVE the forum.

So I had my finger on the ban button. wetcoast slipped by the skin of his teeth. No joke.

Yes, Hawk we can ban people here, and a few other tools to deal with members or say a spammer.

Like Storm and Bono said, it makes them not want to post, and that is unacceptable.

I know wetcoast/nito is a smart person with some type of degree in meteorology, so just dicking people around all the time IS a waste of his talent and being a member here. He can do far better than that and actually help the large member base understand what is going on or could happen in the forecasts or why they bust etc..

We have A LOT of lurkers on our forum, as well as guest that don't sign in. It's not just the small group of people who regularly post every day.
Those people depend on us, or perhaps are entertained by us, but are here for a reason. They are not here to watch a bunch of goofy posts that make the forecast a complete joke.

SO STOP IT!

I'm not saying that we should not joke around or we should not poke a bit of fun at each other or what we HOPE to see in the forecast but yesterday went way overboard. When I get a message of a good member here saying they are going to leave if this continues, then there is a problem. We don't need to head into the AF type of community.

Ok, I said what needed to be said, let's all have fun and try to figure out what the heck is going to happen in the forecasts because we all know how hard it is to forecast ANYTHING here.

*Note to all who post models. There is a reason you post models, and it's usually because you see something interesting or cool. So please just make mention of what you are looking at when you post, because there are a lot of members who don't understand and have no idea why it was posted. It can be just a short little sentence telling us what has changed or what is trending etc. 8-)

Thanks to everyone who participates in this forum. You are all valued and important to this community. And yes you can still post funny gifs!

For those who questioned tomorrow morning ability for wet snow. Here's is 925mb at 10 am tomorrow morning.
-1°C ~ -2°C I am not saying it will snow, just what the models are showing.
