That's the 24hr max temps map. Those crazy temps shown on Tuesday are likely carried over from late Monday afternoon.

Oh, OK. I think what happened is that the 24h map I posted pulled in the temperature at 6:01 pm the evening before.
It's called clown range for a reason.
