Stuck at -14 outflow seems to have picked up a bunch dew point-26!

The cold air may stay entrenched in Hope for 36 to 48 hours starting Friday 1am. It could be one of those events there. Nasty. Hopefully mostly snow. :think:

Looks like another after dark snowfall, EC has it starting at 9 pm. Cloudy at 11 am so maybe some light snow? I don't need accumulations I just like to see it falling.

Woke up at 3:30 temp was -9. 6:15 now at -12 and still dropping. Crazy. Been a while since I’ve seen low temps like this.

Well..
Not really impressed with the low this morning. It's only 2c difference from last night.
Current -12.3
DP: -18 (This is the biggest change/drop)
Hum: 63% (Also a bigger drop)

Was hoping to see an impressive low over night. Even though it's clear with light wind, it didn't happen. :thumbdown:

-11.8ËšC. Probably not going to make it to -12.6. Why -12.6? That maps to -9.4ËšF, the warmest temperature I can round to whole numbers and report as a single-digit reading in the AF.

It got down to between -13 and -14 IMBY last December. This event featured better cold air penetration to the south, but is not quite as cold up this way. Official stations at YVR and BLI are just a smidgen warmer than last year’s coldest morning, too.

They need to upgrade the winter storm watch to a warning. Other than that, the 10–20 cm of snow in the watch looks like a reasonable estimate based on model guidance.
