Patience Antman. You live in a much drier climate. The wetcoast is just a wet memory lol. Lack of snow happens in the Similkameens often as well. Most snowfalls there are 1-2". Or just a dusting even :problem: But sometimes the big one shows up too. Like last year> epic. Oct ~25 >25-30cms of snow. Then bammmmmm in December. 55cms in 24 hours :shh: :shh: Almost unheard of for that climate. This year, the coast is getting nailed
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

Here's an excerpt from AccuWeather meteorologist Brett Anderson's 2021/22 winter forecast:
In southern British Columbia, around Vancouver, far more rain than usual is expected to fall this winter, helping to ease abnormally dry conditions. According to Anderson, the past three winters all brought near- to above-normal precipitation, which includes rain and melted snow.

"Based on what I see, I think this winter will be wetter than the past five winters in southern British Columbia," he said. "I think this winter will certainly put a dent in the ongoing severe drought across south-central parts of the province. Conditions have already improved across southwestern British Columbia this fall as drought conditions have almost disappeared."
So far his forecast seems spot on.  :bravo:

Fortis put in a gas line last week and laid down new top soil and grass seed when they finished. I’ve been watering constantly to ensure good germination. Nothing growing yet. I hope it didn’t dry out too much.

Aaaand it’s going to be Kensington. Just signed a lease on a laneway house near 33rd and Knight, about 90 m elevation.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Was at Trout Lake this afternoon and only about 25% of the south ballfield was a total quagmire! And my feet never sank deeper than about 10 cm into the lawn. Will these parched conditions never end?!?

Congrats! I'd say that's right along the northern periphery of the SE Vancouver snowbelt.

It'll be more than a quagmire by Monday if the RGEM verifies. More like an extension of the lake by then.

At face value that would be another 300-350mm by months end for the rain gauge in northeast Coquitlam. Monthly total would end up around 550mm. Wet!
