Seems like the precipitation forecasts in the mesoscale models are off. 80 cm of new snow by Friday at midnight for the mountains?

I was planning on taking some time off work after the busy Christmas season. Due to the weather hype, I decided to book off next weekend.
If this all busts I'll still appreciate the time off but if even half of what's modelled verifies, I'll have fun tracking and going for walks in it. :thumbup:

Not sure if that’s the record. But we won’t beat that.

I think that is the record daily high at YXX. Highly unlikely we beat it.

Arctic air is likely coming but I think there will be a lot of disappointed people if we think the crazy cold 12Z Euro will verify exactly as shown. :lol: :wave:

Yes it is. Also -15.6°C in January 1950.

For YVR, the record is -11.1°C in January 1950 and December 1968 (same months).
