Cranbrook has a decent snowfall average but it's much too dry to be a snowbelt. Up and down that valley is traditionally grassland/sagebrush mixed with relatively spase forest.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 9:10 pm Welp Antsl didn't realize how snow starved Cranbrook is, l guess l was thinking it was equivalent to Revelstoke with roof top depth, or a snowbelt area.
I would move too unless it's a job issue of course.

Still can't wrap my head around how E.C. never did issue a wind or arctic outflow warning for the fraser valley.
I guess gusts to 80kmh plus with -1c temps day and -5c overnight didn't count as a need for one.

Assuming you mean the operational. Drops below -10c again in the Mar 9-11 timeframe.
Yeah, some of those analogues in the long range are very good. They're only based on the 00z OP run so they'll change again next run.

-5.8C here after a high of 1.1C. Our snow man has survived 2 days under late February sun angles. Not bad.

Hit -22C this morning under clear skies.
Stars were amazing thanks to the dry air. I guess that is one good thing about living in a tinder box.
