Catnip did u move to that area because u saw how much snow falls there..or u just end up there? I asked before but long ago

We liked the area when we were looking and it was on our affordable list.

But yes, the snow was always on the back of my mind.

You're in a major snow zone. Do you think it's the trees as well as elevation that locks that surface cold down? I notice as the LM has become more scarce of trees and more so forests over the last 30 years..the weather has warmed.

I have no idea. It’s a weird microclimate.

My mind has trouble grasping that. Still big snowflakes here...no rain. Delta, White Rock, Cloverdale...all in the 6-8 cm range.

I’m guessing it is because the precipitation stayed pretty constant there. It really let up here earlier and the temps rose.

Wow what a disaster for Chilliwack there was more on the ground when l got home this morning which wasn't very much to begin with 0.5cm fail big time. However my drive back to work was nothing all the way in from Chilliwack to Abby, then as soon as l hit Costco on Sumas it started dumping now @ work and it's coming down pretty good big fluffy flakes hope this band makes it to Chilliwack. Nice to hear Richmond/ Ladner did o.k.? how's the Arctic blast looking next week is that rug pulled too. BTW dont blame WP for this one typical westcoast fail. I could sense this morning it would bust lived here long enough to know John was right again no wonder he wasn't excited.

After slowing down for a bit it has indeed picked up steam again. Been snowing for about 10 hrs non stop . I for one am lovin it.

How much do you guys have out there? Originally thought the sunshine coast could score big with this one.

About 6 cm in Roberts Creek but I'm sure much more in Langdale (ferry terminal) and Port Mellon.

Still snowing but little tiny flakes. The road looks pretty clear, maybe some slush down the middle.
