I love how the whole province has been logged, the industry is shutting down mills and hurting small towns due to their own short sightedness and somehow the 6 or so tree huggers are still seen as the problem. Propaganda at its finest.

Also last night I ran into someone in real life who believes in the space lasers as the culprit for the fires.

Usually an indication of pretty benign weather. Plus it's a long weekend. Weather looks very average over the next several days :|
Yesterday afternoon I was in my camper, snuggled under covers, enjoying a cool rainy afternoon in the Duffey Lake area.

Unfortunately, the rain has been on the spotty side. Took a short hike to the Whistler train wreck and the woods were still bone dry there.

We need a nice El Nito classic: an atmospheric river bringing copious amounts of 12ËšC rain.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Most of those who did climatology with me 10+ years ago have moved into other careers. It's just too depressing to continue onwards.

Some of the skepticism is justified. You get governments telling people to reduce their carbon emissions while the same officials take large motorcades and private jets to meetings...

Space lasers though? I think a number of people in society should be on meds.

Not sure why you are rolling your eyes? I never heard someone say that before, but that's probably because I don't really hang out or talk to people who make up fake conspiracies to fit their narrative 🤷
