Looks like the Euro monthly is trending wetter for BC? Also, the NMME seasonal seems to suggest we may be in for more of a classic back-loaded Nina. We'll see. It had November/December as being above normal and then Jan is below normal for temps.

I should clarify I was referring to the month of July when I said the Euro monthly model was trending wetter.

40c near Sacramento and 11c near San Francisco. I would rather be in San Fran in the cool fog than in 40c warmth.

When I lived in the Bay Area, I lived in Oakland*, which is just about in the happy medium for summer temperatures. Highs very consistently in the 20–23˚C range for most of the summer. More than once I enjoyed a beautiful sunny weekend, only to go into the office in SF on Monday to hear others grumbling about how miserable and cold and foggy it was all weekend.

* Which has an undeservedly bad reputation. Yes, Oakland has its slums. Large ones, in fact. But it's still a big city (people overlook how large Oakland is because of the shadow San Francisco casts). It has its middle class and upper class (even some really upper class) areas, too. I lived in a middle class neighbourhood just north of Lake Merritt that was very nice (and rents were A LOT cheaper than across the bay, as in not quite half as much). And the weather was better!
It's called clown range for a reason.
