Monty posted this to the AF. HRDPS now shows light snow over metro Vancouver for tonight and tomorrow. Given that the Euro and GFS were already calling for same, this is now a strong signal.

Particularly given what temperatures will be doing. It does not take much snow to cause travel chaos when it is accompanied by a flash freeze.

All three models (Euro, GEM, and GFS) agree on a significant snowfall Saturday night. What could go wrong? Last minute rug pull. :lol: :silent:

While we all know nothing is set in stone until at least 96 hours out, this is a very strong signal for a widespread snowstorm. :thumbup: :flakey:

I'm not seeing that. 12Z HRDPS has a line of rain showers/snow move through this evening around 0500pm and is then dry over the Lower Mainland.
