There is no rug pull because the rug hasn't even been rolled out yet. It's still in storage. We're still at the "figure out the general pattern" stage of a potential cold snap. Also, pro mets are pro mets for a reason and they seem to believe there's enough evidence to tell the public that it's about to get colder. I'd be inclined to call what the GEM did tonight as no more than a blip of the normal variety for forecasting 150+ hours out.

Unfortunately the people who've been through this 50 times and still haven't learned will never learn. Either they can't or don't want to.
