+1.0 and rising, was -1 around 9:30 am
Snow cover is down to about 1" most of it disappeared during the wind storm.
Blue sky with a few fluffy white clouds.

I'm back! Did I miss anything?

Power (and internet, phone and water) were off from Wednesday at 8:30 pm until 2am this morning, sure happy to have a wood stove, kept me warm and I cooked a delicious meal in it and toast on top.
:team: :flakey: :flakey:

I am very fortunate to live in such a beautiful area. I am waiting for it to warm up a bit, its too cold and windy and the snow is too dry and powdery to go out and ride my sled. Powder snow + sled = freezing cold face wash.

No problem i go sledding at up to -25c. Bundle up with Balaklava, helmet and Goggles and its all good. I have hand warmers on my sleds too so that helps but usually im good just from the cardio
My fave temps to go is -10 to -15c

We may already be in patternlock. This little warm up may be a blip for a few days then back to chilly..maybe cold again soon. Time will tell.
Models have already backed way off on the warm up. Monday bommy..maybe..then cools off again other than immediate coastline.
Right Nito??

Stunning morning here, too. Blue sky, crisp and cold, fresh dusting of snow overnight. A taste of winter in the Rockies.
It's called clown range for a reason.

I saw this happening on the 00z ECMWF run. Looks like a weak nina pattern. Splitty jet with perhaps some retrogression towards end of month.

Seems to be a very secluded area. There can't be a whole lot of people living there. Is that like your dream retirement home/area?
