I’ll be taking the oldest two kids to a family get-together in Lacombe, AB that weekend. Did the same last year. Last June there was significant fresh snow on the peaks. Looks like it’ll be a repeat this year.

Agreed. How about -10C and heavy snow to sea level in June?

Highs very consistently in the 20–23˚C range for most of the summer. More than once I enjoyed a beautiful sunny weekend, only to go into the office in SF on Monday to hear others grumbling about how miserable and cold and foggy it was all weekend.

* Which has an undeservedly bad reputation. Yes, Oakland has its slums. Large ones, in fact. But it's still a big city (people overlook how large Oakland is because of the shadow San Francisco casts). It has its middle class and upper class (even some really upper class) areas, too. I lived in a middle class neighbourhood just north of Lake Merritt that was very nice (and rents were A LOT cheaper than across the bay, as in not quite half as much). And the weather was better!
San Francisco is just a horrible place to live now (not because of the weather).

I drove to San Francisco in 2019 for my honeymoon. We stayed in Vallejo and drove the ~40 minutes across the bridge.

Interesting you brought this up. A very silly question but I've been wondering what would it take to have a snow storm in the summer, June 21 counts

We had that year of never-before weather, tornado, heat dome, flooding but missed out on snow so what crazy weather system would it take to make snow in Vancouver in June...I'm looking for something more detailed than a very cold snap eg, what would have to happen to give us that really cold snap in June. Maybe a volcano putting ash high enough up to block the sun or ???

Unfortunately Ms. Driedupcreeks a nuclear winter, or 850mb temps of -30c but the Arctic does not support that cold an air mass this time of year. :o

My station recorded a high of 28.1C here. Went for a walk and it felt hot enough outside. No need for temperatures in the 40's.
