We had a bit of snow fall with the arctic front in late Feb last year. Was chilly/clear for a few days after and despite temps climbing over the freezing mark during the day it lasted in the shaded areas with the low dewpoints.

That end of Feb/22 event l believe put down a solid 5cm in the central valley.
That was all she wrote for snowfall after that Tman.
Despite the end of November and end of December events l'm still left feeling ripped off this winter.
I came to the conclusion that this January was a carbon copy of last year.
The only difference is last January we had that brief re load of Arctic air and over running snowfall in the central valley early in January that saved last January but this January has been a nothing burger and has sunk this winter to a C even if we manage a 0c January day on Monday it's been very disappointing and lame indeed.

I must say after a promising end of November and end of December this has gone down hill the last 5 weeks.

l'm hoping the local ski hills start picking up some decent snowfalls this is getting absolutely ridiculous now.

12Z GFS cuts back on the snow amounts. Not a surprise, given how the 06Z operational was a snowy outlier.

Doesn't look like that's going to be a worry. Getting any snow might be a worry looking at the latest EC.
