All three levels of our townhouse are concrete here in Mission. That has it's advantages. But in this weather, even this morning with all the windows open, the AC is still turning on. When a heatwave breaks, it takes three days for our place to cool down.

Perhaps try closing all the windows Mattress while the AC is running your letting all the warm air in so the AC is working harder to compensate for all the warm air that's coming into your house.
Trust me it will cool down with all the windows closed.
