On another note, I'm very saddened that I can't access my favourite site to gather weather data: https://wxweb.meteostar.com/sample/samp ... ?text=CYXX - I usually had it set to YXX as I live in Abbotsford. Anyway, I used to use this and now I can't seem to get it. I loved the simplistic method it used to extrapolate data, and was easiest for me to understand. (I have trouble with all the graphs - and understanding them etc).

Anyway, any ideas on that part? Is it a pay service only now? For the record, I tried signing up (input name/password etc) however it's still not accessible.

We have a secondary home now in Sun Peaks - so will be up there from time to time during the winter as well. Guaranteed to get more snow there than in Abbotsford lol :) I was also thinking of setting up a little weather station there as well, and streaming it on the wundermap.
Lovely to hear from you Arby, not to worry about cancel winter to early this year l've got a new set up where by if the cancel winter button is hit to early a swarm of Oompa Loompass's will appear and haul you away in a straight jacket.

Those snow maps are wrong sometimes an hour before a snowfall, let alone days away.

Looks like the EPS gives Nino his ridge. The progression is very intriguing...

On the topic of early-mid November snow... the benchmark around these parts is 1911.

Vancouver recorded 30.5cm on Nov 9th, 1911. If that wasn't enough, there was another 27.9cm that fell on Nov 12th, 1911!

The guys over at the westher network keep saying the pattern is going to shift to a very un-La Nina like pattern of a western ridge and Eastern low. Now it looks like it may happen later in November or early December. I do think we will have a typical 2 week blocking pattern at some point in December most likely with a big west coast ridge. I said that about October though and couldn't have been more wrong. I think Dec 2009 would be a good comparison. A dry month after 2 extremely wet months.

Always exciting to see snow on the maps, no matter how far away or improbable. Might even generate a record breaking November winter cancel when it fails to materialize. Yay snow!!!! Bring it on! :snowwindow: :wsnow: :13snow:
