Give me a dry Saturday! Then you can have all the snow you want after.

Good. We could use more than a couple dry/cool days, but it's better than nothing.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 7:57 am 12z runs (NAM and GFS) are taking that system into Oregon. Dry and chilly Saturday
Weekend looks fairly pleasant with sunshine and a cool N-NE breeze.

Shades of January 2020? Then, it was the GooFuS going crazy cold. The crazy cold did not happen, but it still turned out to be a fairly decent arctic blast. Even managed to score some squeaky-cold powder out of it.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: December 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
Jan 2020 had a high latitude block in play which would have brought extreme cold had it not been undercut by strong westerlies. This is shades of 2008 which a broad Aleutian block. Most of the W Pac is shutdown.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 9:05 am Shades of January 2020? Then, it was the GooFuS going crazy cold.
