So you think Lytton holds the humidex record for BC? Wrong! I've only looked at 10 stations so far, but will look at others when I have time.
Here's the list ranked from highest to lowest...

Re: 2021 Humidex Values
Because the air is very dry. We are talking 8% in this case The humidex can be less than the actual temperature. Try the ECCC calculator to see what I mean .... https://weather.gc.ca/windchill/wind_chill_e.html

Re: 2021 Humidex Values
Pitt Meadows had a humidex of 47.
The value of Salmon Arm is probably wrong. Pemberton looks dubious too, IMO.

Oops, yes, I somehow had a typo there.Canada Goose wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 7:45 am Pitt Meadows had a humidex of 47.

Updated graph...
And I do wonder about Salmon Arm and Pemberton.
Here are some maps showing dewpoints that point to the Salmon Arm one maybe being right since the station is right by the lake, so it could have some humidity off the water.
Pemberton seems a bit high for sure, especially since it changed so rapidly...

Salmon Arm. The location is not so bad, but it could be a sensor issue.
