It is the most realistic outcome outside of December and January.

Either too cold for snow or too mild for sticking snow down to sea level.

It's why you want cold weather in December or January.

12Z GEM disagreeing with that.

Overall, I think a cooler than normal week is on tap with potential slush accumulations at higher elevation at times. Not bad for an early taste of winter.
