Another cold day. High of 14.8 hit it three times today! Low last night of 7
Perhaps Junuary will make brief appearances from time to time in Junuary this year Ms Spitdropscreeks.

Weather must be boring? Quiet at times on here...
What's really interesting is that the hottest temperature recorded during the heatwave was on the 16th at Ashcroft, BUT that was the coldest day of the entire 9 day heatwave for many places like Osoyoos and Nelson...
hottestday3.png

Overall though, the 15th was the hottest if we average all BC weather stations together. ...

A nice long break from the 30’s would be most appreciated.

It appears that the forecasted heat has been watered down due to the Low spinning back towards us 8-)
Pesky troffiness we have had the last few days. Where is the sun today? :shh:
Of course it could easily be 18c and bommy during this strong EN, but instead March starts out troffy and chilly!  Bring on some 18c sunny days

Worrying as it is already as dry out there as it is in early July in many years, and it’s not even June yet.

Glacier wrote: Tue May 23, 2023 1:33 pm Hawk, Stuff, John, Goose, Hound, SouthSardis, Weather101, Typeing, and VanCitySouth went out for drinks last night. Once all the small talk about religion and politics was out of the way and some of them had a few too many, the conversation turned into a more contentious direction -- the weather. Eventually the discussion turned toward last week's heat wave, and they started arguing about which was the hottest day.

Hawk said it was the 12th, Stuffradio said the 13th, John the 14th, and so on up to the 20th. Things got really heated and the fight spilled out of the street. Eventually SouthSardiswx messaged me to make a quick graph so they settle the dispute.

I hate to sound woke, but everyone gets a trophy because they were all right. It just depended where you were at during the heatwave.

Hawk was up in Fort Nelson fighting fire, so for him, the hottest day was the first day of the heat wave (the 12th).

For Stuff, he was over in Nelson checking on his marijuana grow-op, so the 13th was the hottest day for him.

John was in the Fraser valley where the 14th was the hottest day.

Goose wanted to visit the hottest spot, so he ended up in Lytton where the 15th was the hottest day.

Hound figured Ashcroft would be hotter, so he was in Ashcroft, which did set the hottest temperature on the 16th.

Sardis was up in Kitimat because there just isn't enough rain on the south coast, so for him the 17th was the hottest day.

Weather 101 hung out at the airport all week so his hottest day was the 18th.

Typeing spent the week in Kelowna so his hottest day was the 19th.

Vancitysouth figured that Ososoyoos would be the hottest spot so spent the week there, but the joke was on him because Osoyoos was actually cooler on average than Kelowna. But he did finally get some hot weather at the end, with the hottest day being the 20th.

Here is one of the graphs I made for them.

If it brings rain, you won't hear me complaining. I have grass that's already dying off. :(

"Juneuary" looking less and less likely each passing day. No end in sight to this. 2015 all over again so I hope we get an early start to the Fall rains like we did in 2015 saving us from an epic drought that year. Remember there was literally no snowpack that year! Crazy water restrictions that year.
