My guess is that it will be a day of 18°C very light sprinkles that do essentially nothing to help with the soil moisture situation.

I was wondering about that. There was smoke on the northern horizon when I was there. It never seemed to grow in intensity, and there were not a lot of aircraft flying around, so I eventually concluded it was just a slash burn. The smoke dwindled down to almost nothing by nightfall.

I tend to use a CSA-approved white gas stove instead of building campfires anyhow.

I wasn't sure it was your picture without the powerlines.

The moon has been incredible the last two nights, a huge orange full moon. Has anyone else seen it?

EC has 60% chance of showers on Friday, 30% that night. It's dwindled from 2 days of 30% showers though. I hope it will go the other way and give us a few days of rain. I'd take even one day of good rain.

Sechelt is also up to 29c on Wednesday but still cooling off to 14c at night so it won't be bad.

An AQI over 1000? Yikes! I think something in the 400’s is the worst I have experienced.

Wow.
Dang. Is that from the Alberta fires or from the east where Halifax is burning? Either way it’s insane. Our turn may come soon.

Guessing from the Maritimes, about time someone else gets smoke other than us! Not that I wish it upon anyone.

The fires from Quebec and northern Ontario. There's around 150 fires right now in Ontario.
