Upon further review looks like your station is up on a B.C. Hydro pole. May have to send the Sheriff up to see if it's legal. :sherlock: :cops:

LOL! No, this is pole that the previous owner put in to there could be a clothes line. He made it look like a hydro pole complete with insulators, but no wires (except the clothes line cable).

Have it setup, but the location is just okay. I'm going to try a couple of other locations around the house. I'll add a link to my station in my signature.

Fantastic Bonorman but you need to get some height on it for better wind speed results.

Your ecowitt still good? Appears they are similar or same manufacturer as ambient weather. Daddy ones seem to suck and accurite seem about the same as lacross. Bios and others are cheap private label ones like the national geo ones.

Tempest I thought was good but bad reviews.

I’m thinking of the 2551 or 2553. The 2553 is quite a bit more money for not much. The haptic rain sensor seems interesting but the vibrations would be problematic for the readings. 3051 may not be available but it is on sale from the ecowitt shop for much cheaper than $300.

Yes Mini you my Ecowitt is still operating with no issues after 4 years l've got my money's worth for sure if you can afford it on your hefty Minion income l would purchase one no need for a $500.00 plus station that's just insane really and probably your wife would be a tad choked and pack up the kiddos and head to the out laws. :o

For sure. Can’t decide whether I need a console or not. The gw1100 seems to have more options and can hook up to third party stuff.

Going with the gw1103. Looks like it would work well and more functional with a home assistant hub setup.

Great post your readings here too mini minion, yeah l do like the ability having the wind guage, rain gauge and temperature sensor all separate to place in spots for near accuracy. There's nothing worse than a bad spot for readings it defeats the purpose of having a weather station.

I'd like to move my weather station to the Chilcotin, but I'm afraid it doesn't work below -40. So that rules out putting it at my mom's place, but my in-law's ranch probably would never hits -40 (at 3500ft on slope so cold air drains off, allowing for cherries and other plants to grow that cannot grow elsewhere in the Chilcotin).

My city lot in the Okanagan is getting overshadowed with maple trees from my neighbors as well as my own. This effects the UV and solar sensors. Plus, the hill makes the sun set at 6pm even in the height of summer. A big open area sloping south in the Chilcotin would be better I think. Plus, there's a real lack of weather stations out there. My friend has a davis station a few km away from my city lot, so it's kinda redundant here.

Already setup and changed my signature to have the station link. Hope it works. So far the wind sensor seems good.

Not bad B.C.'s best truck driver l had a LaCrosse back in 2016 similar just a different model l found readings were fairly accurate wind speed seemed to lag if your not worried then it's a decent pick up wifi is nice to see readings while on the road or if your out or you can post to the forum too.
